Apparently Lady Gaga used to be talented.

My wife and I caught her piano performance on SNL a few weeks ago (which was not quite as good as this one) and were impressed by her singing and playing talent. She reminds me of Christina Aguilera circa 2000 in this regard–a wealth of legitimate musical talent, but for whatever reason she is currently choosing a more ostentatious style of performance.
But although I don’t particularly care for her current radio hits, I have to admit that even those songs display a special talent for creating catchy melodies and rhythms.
