This year I have served as President of the Evansville-Vanderburgh Public Library, a splendid public system with a collection of almost 1 million items. But one of the biggest joys is not the large collection of material, but the 200+ employees I’ve had the pleasure of working with as well. During the five year anniversary of the library’s flagship branch, some of these awesome staff members did an epic book cart performance based on Lord of the Rings. Check it out.
Wonderful post! I heard a story on NPR about library cart drill competitions several months ago; I wonder if there are any such competitions in Indiana?
Awesome video! One of the things I miss most about home is the amazing library system. The libraries in DC are mostly just sad…
