Indiana Jones

I went to see the new feature this evening. I had read the negative reviews, and had heard that it just wasn’t up to par. But I believed, and hoped, that the impetus for these reviews were over-inflated expectations and movie snobs looking to bring down a likely box office success. And so I went to the movie this evening looking for anything to grasp hold of which would let me defend a movie franchise I so dearly want to see do well.
Sadly, though, I was sorely disappointed. The film was a flop. A big one. If this post accomplishes anything, perhaps it can at least save you the price of admission. It’s simply not worth it.

Well that’s disappointing. I feared as much.

I concur, more or less. It was relatively fun, in that I’ve spent time in worse ways. But definitely not a great film

It fits better in the Nic Cage “National Treasure” genre, that with the other Indiana Jones films.
I have an idea, let’s pretend that it is the third “Treasure” movie, and we can save everyone from having to endure countless commercials for the actual third movie.

Obviously, you need a drink from Mola Ram’s cup. “Soon you will be a TRUE BELIEVER!”

Wow. I have to say that I disagree with you, Josh. =) While it wasn’t my favorite movie ever, and while there were many parts of the movie that I feel could have been done better, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the film was a big flop. I thought it was fun, and definitely at least worth the price of admission.

This was my thoguht exactly. If you liked “National Treasure”, then you might like this newest Indiana Jones. I hated National Treasure, and felt the same about this installment of Indiana Jones.

There’s nothing wrong with the IJ4 movie that couldn’t be fixed with a different plot.
(Well, maybe also casting someone other than Cate Blanchett, who was all wrong for her part.)
