Kim Peters was one of 18 athletes across the nation to attend this year's Junior Olympic shooting camp, and she regularly takes part in competitive clay shooting. She stimates that she spends 12-hours-a-week practicing. Clearly her hobby is important to her, but, overlooked in her busy schedule, Kim had left two unopened boxes of shells (no gun) sitting in the back seat of her vehicle. School administrators weren't amused and handed her a four-day suspension for possession of a "dangerous instrument". America, this is your Republic.

Ridiculous. Zero Tolerance means zero intelligence on the part of school administrators. The school district's superintendent can be emailed at gail.pletnick@dysart.org, and the high school principal at anthony.capuano@dysart.org. (Remember to be polite, kids.)

This is a little silly. The girl has a know competition hobby. Although I suppose they do have to worry about setting a precident for future occurances of the like.
