Support From Our Troops
On the Right, we have the punditerati who say we should defer to our troops. On the Left, the Washington Monthly says playing to them is fruitless. How then are we to interpret the answer to Democracy in America's little poser? "Guess which Republican presidential candidate has received the most donations from members of the military and veterans."
Answer here.
Update: Another key constituency.

If I'm an editor at XYZ Mainstream Media Outlet, this kind of stuff is a gold mine of stories that readers would find interesting. Its lack of coverage baffles me.

Yes, the lack of coverage baffles me too, since this looks real close to the Texas National Guard Story, you would think the MSM would jump all over this.

For what it's worth, the zero for Thompson is because as an undeclared candidate, he didn't have to file any report. Not that I think he would have beaten Paul's donations from the military.

According to the latest AP poll, "none of the above" is the most popular choice among Republicans for the nomination, when faced with a choice of Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, John McCain or Mitt Romney.

Looks like there's a pretty serious opportunity for an alternative candidate like Paul.
