Then again, we were raised on A Thief in the Night in Sunday School. Not so for a former Hertz employee, who has filed a Title VII (42 U.S.C. 2000e) suit against the company for not allowing exception to a hand scanner to track employee hours. Title VII, you will recall, requires employers to make reasonable accommodations for their employees' religious convictions.
