I bid you adieu . . . for now
Tomorrow is day one of the Indiana bar exam, and shortly after taking it I'll be heading overseas for 24 days. Since I'll likely be away from email and an internet connection during that time, this is my last post for about a month.
In the meantime, you can check out my itinerary in Africa here.

GOOD LUCK ON THE BAR EXAM, JOSH!! Remember: it's pass/fail. You'll do fine. Have fun in Africa, and take pictures for later posting!!

Take extra shoes, they make for wonderful bartering tools in Africa.

Good luck, and safe travels!
And if you're thinking of bringing back anything made from any part of an animal as a souvenir, better do some homework first: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/clearing_goods/agri_prod_inus.xml
I learned this the hard way coming back from my recent trip to Asia. Luckily it only cost me a few dollars' worth of yak jerky I wanted to get my friends to try.

Best of luck on the bar exam.
As to your trip, the best advice I can give any foreign traveler (apart from the obvious safety/security cautions) is to take the time to write a daily journal. Do it on paper if necessary, and, if you need the motivation, buy yourself a high-quality sketchbook and the best pens/pencils your budget allows. Years later, you will be glad you made the effort.

Jason's absolutely right. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a good travel journal is worth a thousand pictures. Having both together makes for many fond memories.

Best of luck, safe travels, and God speed.
Now come back before I start to sound like the controller at Kennedy Space Center.
