Blogs are a force, and their influence will likely increase over the next few years. Blogs are, as one journalist has noted, not necessarily revolutionary--they are "a natural extension for DC's permanent lobbying class"--but the good ones are read by influential people and can influence policy, as National Journal illustrates. For those of us who are without millions of dollars in the bank (or are possessing a moral conscience), blogging is a decent alternative to working on K Street.
