Housekeeping
As you've no doubt noticed, the background has changed from a dark blue to a light gray. This is a trial run which will last through the weekend, or perhaps become permanent. Please leave your thoughts on that change, and any others you'd like to see to ITA's design. Until the background color is either kept or changed, the banner will look off-color on all pages but the index.

The thin grey stripes at the edges are good, but it should be dark blue at the top.

I voted for keeping the old color scheme. I don't mind the gray background, actually, but if we keep it the banner image and "Media and Blog Links" header will have to be redone to get rid of the fuzziness.
Kudos to Josh, in any case, for working on the design. It's certainly a thankless job.

I like the new design, but the top graphic would need to be redesigned to fix pixilation issues, predominately around the final "a". Perhaps this problem could be reconciled without dusting off Photoshop by Zach's suggestion above.

I agree that if the gray stays, the lettering in the banner will need to be more defined. I just didn't want to put in the time to do that until I knew the gray was accepted or not.
An advantage to a lighter background, I think, is that the site feels more inviting and suffocating.

I think I wanna change my vote... I'm not sure. For some reason I think I like the darker blue better. The lighter blue is more inviting but it's not as.... masculine as the darker blue. Hmmm. I just don't know.

In line with Sarah's comment, perhaps the grey could stay, softening the site a tad for newcommers, but the light blue vertical bars could be darkened a bit to a navy hue to promote the "masculinity" Sarah desires. I'm sure all the Reitz alumni would applaud just such a move.
