In Sporting News…

The Chicago White Sox completed their sweep of the Houston Astros last night, winning 1-0 and capturing their first World Series title since 1917. A slap on the back goes out to friend of ITA and White Sox fan Brian Balta (blog currently dormant).

Honestly, I saw the news this morning and thought “Oh, hey, the World Series was going on?”
I guess I’m just not into baseball. :)

    Thanks for the post Eric.
I’m absolutely in heaven today. Bush could be named king of the world and ruler for life tomorrow and I’d still be smiling for the next decade.

The White Sox winning this year, combined with last year’s Red Sox win, proves that no drought is unbreakable, if your team is well-managed and has some payroll flexibility. That’s good news for my team, the Indians. If they can just learn how to beat the damn White Sox…

My wife has been walking on air. Probably helps that she went to game 1.

Actually…as a Chicago native…I would like to suggest that there remains 1 drought which is in fact unbreakable…and now I am going to let out an evil cackle as I think about the team which is the owner of that drought.

Oh, and in case you didn’t get my hint…it ain’t the Indians.
