I'd hate Gingrich as President, and yet, I think he'd be much better than what we have currently.

Gingrich domestically could be interesting, but Gingrich was so easily rolled by Clinton in their dealings that I shudder to think of what Gingrich would give away in negotiations with foreign leaders. To me, first and last, the presidency should be about foreign affairs and defense issues. Domestic matters should be left to Congress and the States, so I vote No.

Honestly, after Clinton and Bush - two politicians who don't appear to have any core beliefs whatsoever that they aren't willing to sacrifice to political expediency - I almost long for a Gingrich even if I disagree with most of what he says (which is not to suggest that Gingrich wasn't a political creature as well, but at least he has an affinity for ideas). There comes a point where you say, "Damn it, stand up for something, even if it's wrong."

Anyone who has/had complaints about the morality and ethics about Bill Clinton should be very concerned about Newt, one of the most ethically and morally challenged peeople to ever grace the political landscape. As well, he makes Karl Rove look rather a nice man.

Newt is indeed an ideas man, which is a change from the two (make that three) most recent occupants of the White House. However, I remember an old joke about Newt from the 90s, about how there were two filing cabinets in his office-- one large one for "Newt's Ideas" and one much smaller one for "Newt's GOOD Ideas." :0

Exactly what are Newt's health care ideas?
I seem to remember him for what he was against. He actually has a positive agenda on health care?
