Justice O’Connor has retired. Sounds like Emilio Garza will be nominated to be her replacement. President Bush is scheduled to speak at 11:15am (10:15c).
I agree. It is pretty ridiculous that someone from Media Matters is crying foul that no liberals were interviewed in the first 75 minutes after SOC’s retirement was announced.
I agree with both of you. Right now I’m fine with hearing all kinds of talk about SOC. In a few weeks I’ll be sick of it. But, I’d still pick SCOTUS news over Aruba girl news.
By totally avoiding TV news and flipping past that page in my morning LAT, I’ve been able to almost totally avoid having my time wasted by the latest episode of “Where the White Women At?”.
Something tells me this one will be utterly impossible to avoid.
I am not looking forward to the news this summer…

Don’t underestimate their ability to find a lower bottom than the one they’ve already reached.

On the other hand, I’d much rather hear more partisan bickering than news about that girl who disappeared in Aruba.
