Aruba girl

GOP Vixen, via Instapundit, with this take on cable news coverage of Natalee Holloway's disappearance:

Okay FOX, you win. It worked. I won't kidnap any young, blonde, blue-eyed, upper class, teenage, all-American girls. Your round the clock mega-hyped coverage of this tragic but nonetheless non-story is working. It's a brilliant deterrent. Who in their right mind would think suffering through incessant, overblown, 24/7, E! True Suburb Tragedy was worth it? You are making America safe for white rich girls. Pat yourselves on the back.
No doubt! Our highest court just loosened the reins on local governments' power to take property from individuals and the news got a 10 minute blurb. Meanwhile, anyone who has been paying attention to cable news can recite the Holloway family tree, followed by the family trees of those guys who may have taken her. I think it would be more profitable for cable news channels to ignore world events, and show reality-TV programming 24/7. (Did they beat me to that idea?)

I forgot there was a battle with insurgents over in some region of the world that is in the desert or something.

The coverage on Fox is ridiculous. But, when there are 4 cable news networks all fighting for a story and ratings, the one that gives America what it wants wins. Over 2 million people tune in to Fox which is double the ratings of MSNBC and CNN combined.

All of the cable news networks have done their best to turn into E! more and more. I really, really don't get what the big deal about this whole Aruba thing is, and how it trumps about a thousand other things that are happening in the world on any given second.

If you wanna be even more famous, run-away from your wedding or build a theme park in your backyard and molest little boys.

Okay, yes the Aruba girl thing is important b/c parents shouldn't let their young children go to other countries as if it's nothing. It's not safe. Plus, if she was a heavy church member and this was a church funtion, then why were they in a bar? Very sad. I feel sorry for the parents. Maybe this will be a lesson to all the parents that are liberal with their kids.

I personally love FOx and all of you that continue to knock it should just keep YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!!
