Remember Bill Nye the Science Guy? According to Wired magazine, he’s coming out with a new show called The Eyes of Nye where he tackles some more serious issues like “addiction, sex, cloning, and climate change.”

Oh, no. That man has already done enough to misinform and indoctrinate a generation in matters ecological. He is a high priest in the church of environmentalism.
But other than that, he’s pretty good and pretty entertaining.
Excellent. I loved that show – hopefully the new show will be one me and my daughter can watch together.

Maybe if you had watched his show more, YOU wouldn’t be so misinformed.
The fact is, a power-plant owner can own the land on which his plant resides. But he doesn’t own the air. Dumping filth into OUR air is OUR business. We (collectively) have every right to regulate it. That’s what the Bushies have missed. They’re so wrapped up in cheering for their team, they’ve forgotten what REAL Conservativism is all about, and now focus all their energies on bashing liberals and liberal policies, many of which are actually conservative policies, like balanced budgets, or conserving the environment.
Yes, Osama, protecting the environment *is* a conservative issue. Too bad most environmental groups are so married to the political left that they can’t recognize positive steps taken by the Bush administration and in fact end up behaving in ways that are counterproductive to their erstwhile cause.
Anyway, Bill Nye rules. BNTSG was both thoroughly entertaining and highly educational.

I really enjoyed Bill. While he believes some things that I don’t, there are a lot of shows that were not controvercial at all, like stuff on flight, the workings of the body, floating, friction, stress, and other stuff like that. It was also entertaining, which is something most science shows weren’t.

I’m all for keeping the environment clean. I’m all for regulating power plants with regulations that make sense and really protect us.
It’s the religion of environmentalism that I despise. You apparently do not know the difference.
Why am I not surprised?
I was already too old to watch him when he was on the first time, but anything that gets kids interested in math and science is only a good thing.
If he can get them to analyze issues and think rationally that is even better.
